Social Procurement

What is Social Procurement?

Social procurement involves organisations and individuals choosing to purchase based on the social outcome when they buy a good or service. Social procurement allows for greater support and development of social enterprise as it recognises and places value on the benefits that social enterprise provides, in so doing it increases the amount of work available to social enterprises. For example, organisations such as Boystown and Mission Australia are delivering real local benefits for communities across the State, while enterprises such as Newleaf Community Renewal are providing significant and sustainable employment outcomes.

If you are a social enterprise, we are developing a coaching program to assist with your tendering and procurement pursuits, please email us for more information. EMAIL to info@socialenterprises.com.au
